About Dianne

Dianne is a grandmother who wanted to give her own grandchildren something special when they were born.

Her own grandmother had taught her to crochet when she was first married and she crocheted a plain babyshawl for her children but she always wished she could have made a beautiful lacey shawl for them.

When her first two grandchildren were being born very close together she adapted a beautiful lacey pattern into a gorgeous baby shawl.

She has now crocheted these beautiful baby shawls for all her seven grandchildren. When family and friends saw and loved these hand made shawls they started to put orders in for baby shawls for their children or for presents for someone they knew having a baby. The crochet baby shawls have been such a great addition to a baby's arrival that she's wanted to make them available to all those who've always wanted that family heirloom, hand made wrap for their baby or toddler!

The baby shawls are made out of an acrylic yarn that has a lovely sheen so that they can be gently machine washed incase the children get attached to them as two of her grandchildren have.
